The Religion News Association invites journalists, editors, publishers, and students to The FāVS Model: What One Newsroom Can Teach Us About Building a Sustainable Journalism Community, a free webinar exploring how FāVS News grew from a small regional publication into one of the country’s most successful community-driven religion news organizations.

FāVS executive director Tracy Simmons, along with editor Cassy Benefield and reporter Emma Maple, will share practical lessons on building contributor networks, cultivating newsroom culture, mentoring writers, and creating sustainable local journalism.

The webinar will take place Thursday, August 20, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. PT / 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET and will include audience Q&A.
