APRIL 27, 2020, IS THE NEW DEADLINE for the Piazza Grande Religion Journalism Award, launched by the International association of Religion Journalists (IARJ) and the Fondazione per le Scienze Religiose Giovanni XXIII (FSCIRE) to encourage the best practice in journalism and honour the work of journalists covering religion and spirituality.

Journalists based in Europe, including Iceland and Russia, and the countries surrounding the Mediterranean basin are invited to submit stories published in newspapers, magazines or news websites that publish regularly in the designated area.

With this update—Entries must be submitted as late as April 27, 2020 – 11:00 am GMT.

The winner will be announced in June.
