Welcome to the IARJ

Welcome to the International Association of Religion Journalists (IARJ), truly the first global organization of professionals covering religion. We are an international network of writers, broadcast journalists, bloggers, editors and photographers from different countries of all continents, eager to promote excellence in the coverage of religion and spirituality worldwide. Presently, the IARJ has more than 300 members from more than 50 nations, and it is growing as a wonderful reality because of the enriching cultural and religious diversity of its members, committed professionals like you. Such diversity gives us invaluable opportunities to learn from each other.

I am one of them, the senior religion writer for the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia, based in Barcelona. And as chair of the Steering Committee of the IARJ, I feel personally honored to be part of this international effort.
