Women and nonbinary journalists from underrepresented backgrounds can apply for the Gwen Ifill Mentorship Program, organized by the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) of journalist Gwen Ifill.

The program is designed to address the lack of diversity in leadership positions across newsrooms in the United States. 

During the 7-month program, US based fellows will be paired with mentors and have the opportunity to learn from media experts on a wide range of topics, including cultivating networks, negotiating salary, building a portfolio, applying for fellowships and grants.
