Journalists worldwide who have reported on the human rights and religious freedom issues in India can compete for the Human Rights & Religious Freedom Journalism Awards, sponsored by the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC).

The awards recognize outstanding stories that explore human rights issues, highlight unreported and underreported issues, offer new angles on familiar topics, challenge misconceptions, and counter stereotypes about the marginalized communities.

Journalists can submit entries in the following categories: Best Text Reporting on Human Rights and Religious Freedom (English, Hindi or Urdu); Best Video Story on Human Rights and Religious Freedom; Best Story on Human Solidarity; HRRF Young Journalist of the Year Award 2025.

All entries must have been published between June 30, 2024, and June 30, 2025

Winners in each category will receive INR50,000 (US$583) and a plaque and will be honored at a ceremony in Chicago, United States, in August 2025
