Mid-career journalists from Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East can apply for the 2026/2027 The Gordon N. Fisher / Journalists for Human Rights Fellowship at Massey College, University of Toronto.

The fellowship includes:

  • A stipend of $ 4,900 per month for eight months (September-April);
  • Payment of all the University of Toronto fees;
  • Roundtrip economy airfare to and from Toronto;
  • Travel expenses for organized program trips.

Fellows can enroll in any graduate or undergraduate courses at University of Toronto, access university facilities and academic resources, and engage in various academic and professional development activities.
