IARJ-RNA Religion Dialogues: What are the challenges of reporting on religion around the world?
In 2026, the International Association of Religion Journalists (IARJ)—in cooperation with the Religion News Association (RNA)—will be hosting online conversations between journalists about the challenges we face in reporting on religious diversity around the World.
Our first dialogue of the new year features:
- Mohamed Hamdan, editor of Syria Journal and Zaman al-Wasi, based in Tunisia.
- Deepa Bharath, reporter for Associated Press’s Global Religion Team, based in Los Angeles.
- Ken Chitwood, religion scholar and journalist, based in Germany.
- Moderator: Larbi Magari, news producer, Arab States Broadcasting Union, based in Algeria
